RHS Class of 1965 – RHS Foundation

A $1,200 scholarship for a Roseburg High School graduating senior.  Selection criteria include scholarship, school and community activities, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation.  Students who applied to Foundation scholarships earlier will already be considered for this award and don’t need to apply again.  An application is in the attachments or email Mr. Early.

Bridging the Dream Scholarship

Associated Oregon Loggers

Twin Peaks Off Road Scholarship

A $1,000 scholarship to a student pursuing trade school for automotive, welding, or other industry-related programs.  Selection based on a one page essay explaining the applicants interests in pursuing the trades.  The application information is in the attachment or email Mr. Early for more information.

OSAC is the largest private source of scholarship monies in Oregon.  A reminder that the OSAC “Early Bird” scholarship deadline is February 15th.  The deadline for all other OSAC scholarships is March 1st.  Go to https://app.oregonstudentaid.gov/Default.aspx to complete the application.

Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC)

The Seneca Scholarship

Cosa Youth Scholarship

The Confederation of Oregon School Administrators offers five awards at $1,000 each for students who plan to enroll in any 2-year or 4-year public or private college in Oregon. Ford Family Scholarships

Traditionally the Ford Family Scholarships have been administered through OSAC (see below).  Beginning this year these scholarships will be administered separately. There are two awards for high school students: Ford Scholars – for students who face economic challenge. Douglas County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Five awards of $1,000 for graduating seniors in Douglas County who plan to study at any accredited institution in the state of Oregon.  Applicants must be pursuing a field of study in agriculture or forestry.  Emphasis for selection will be placed on academic standing, financial need, and initiative.  Request an application from the Career Center.

Raymond E Dicks Memorial Scholarship

A $1,500 scholarship for a graduating Roseburg High School senior.  Student must have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA and plan on attending an accredited community college or 4-year college or university.  Successful applicants will have a demonstrated interest in math and potential for future success.  An application is in the attachments or email Mr. Early at jearly@roseburg.k12.or.us

Association for Computer Professionals in Education

This year the Association for Computer Professionals in Education (ACPE) has allocated $10,000 for scholarships of up to $2,000 each for students in Oregon and Washington.  These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who have been actively involved in the use of technology during their high school careers and are planning to pursue studies in a technology related field.  Go to: https://acpenw.org/scholarships/ for an application and more information.

Cascade Community Credit Union Pathfinder Scholarships

Oregon Federation of Women’s Club Scholarship Contests

Stewart Robertson Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a graduating senior from Roseburg High School who has been a participant in the RHS athletic program at any level, including supportive tasks such as manager, statistician, etc.  Student must be planning to attend college within Oregon.  Equal consideration will be given to scholastic achievement (academic and extracurricular) and financial need.  An application is in the attachments or email Mr. Early at jearly@roseburg.k12.or.us

Jim and Char Loomis Memorial Scholarship

American Indian Graduate Center provides up to $30,000 in scholarships per student per year and supports Native students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in the United States. Presidential Scholars - $9,000, renewable, 3.85; Significant leadership, and volunteer activities

Apex - $2,000 renewable; 3.60 GPA

Diversity Excellence – Up to $6,500 awards available to students who enhance the educational experience of all students by sharing diverse cultural experiences.

Summit - $4,000 renewable scholarship; 3.8 GPA

General University Scholarship – $2,000 to $3,000.  Must have a 3.5 GPA

These are some of the scholarships available to University of Oregon Students.  In order to apply for these scholarships, a student must submit an application for admissions, and complete the U of O Scholarship application.
