The Russell Award

A $500 scholarship for a graduating Roseburg High School Senior who has played baseball.  Award can be used at any college or university.  Selection based on applicant’s attitude, loyalty, and dedication to the sport, academic achievement and future goals.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center.

Tom Weiss Memorial Scholarship

A $500 scholarship to a Roseburg High School graduating senior who has been accepted to accredited college or university.  Selection will be based on essay response, activities chart, letters or recommendation, and transcript review. Pick-up an application in the Career Center.

OnPoint Community Credit Union Scholar Athlete

Two $5,000 scholarships and four $1,000 scholarships for an Oregon high school senior who have a 3.5 GPA or above and earned a varsity letter in an OSAA sanctioned sport or activity.  Additional selection include leadership in the community, two letters of recommendation, and short responses.  Go to:  https://www.osaa.org/awards/scholar for more information and an application.

Bob Manning Memorial Softball Scholarship

A $500 scholarship to a graduating RHS softball participant.  Must have a 3.0 GPA.  Selection criteria include academic achievement, financial need, and overall contribution to the RHS softball (both athletic and team spirit considered).  Pick-up an application in the Career Center

Douglas Timbers Operators Scholarship

Three awards of $2,500 each.  Must have an intention to major in a natural resource related field.  This may include Chemistry, Animal Science, Geology, Biology, and Engineering.  Selection will be based on academic achievement, participation in school and community activities, personal statement, financial need and recommendations.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship

Umpqua Lions - Roseburg High School Scholarship

A $500 scholarship for a graduating Roseburg High School senior.  Must be attending an Oregon college and university.  Selection criteria include academic record, need, and ultimate college goals.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center.

Umpqua Lions Club - Tom Hobbs Memorial Athletic Scholarship

One award of $500 for a senior from Roseburg High School who has been an active participant in the athletic program throughout his or her high school years.  May be used at any college or university within Oregon.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center.

Umpqua Lions Club - Jim & Sharon Gregory Scholarship

A $500 scholarship for a graduating Roseburg High School senior.  Selection criteria include academic achievement, financial need, and overall contribution to school and community as well as future goals.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center.

Jaycee Foundation

Up to $5,000 in scholarships for graduating Oregon high school seniors.  Must have a 3.75 GPA.  Selection criteria include academic excellence, personal accomplishments, leadership qualities, and community service.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center

Roseburg Rotary Club Scholarships

Seven scholarship awards up to $1,500 for graduating seniors.  Three are for UCC and three are for any 4-year accredited college or university.  One need-based scholarship will be awarded to the school of the student’s choice.   UCC bound students need a 3.0 GPA and 4-year bound students need to have 3.5 GPA to apply for these scholarships.  Pick-up an application in the Career Center or go to www.roseburgrotaryclub.org

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) – Umpqua Valley Chapter

The VVA of the Umpqua Valley is sponsoring a $500 scholarship to be used by a student pursuing additional training in a CTE program.  Areas of study can include automotive, woods, metal fabrication, foods, agriculture, beauty school, or other designated CTE programs. The award can be used for tuition, books, tools, work-related clothing, or other training-related expenses. Pick-up an application in the Career Center.

Oregon State Sheriff’s Association

PB&J Scholarship

$500 to $1,000 scholarships for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but still have the drive to succeed.  Examples of personal challenges include medical issues, peer issues, or family issues.  Applicants will be evaluated based on their essay and letters of recommendation; there is no GPA requirement.  For more information, go to:  https://scholarsapp.com/scholarship/pbj-scholarship

American Indian Graduate Center

American Indian Graduate Center provides up to $30,000 in scholarships per student per year and supports Native students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in the United States. University of Oregon Scholarships

  • Presidential Scholars - $9,000, renewable, 3.85; Significant leadership, and volunteer activities
  • Apex - $2,000 renewable; 3.70 GPA
  • Diversity Excellence – Up to $6,500 awards available to students who enhance the educational experience of all students by sharing diverse cultural experiences.
  • Summit - $4,000 renewable scholarship; 3.9 GPA
  • General University Scholarship – $1,000 to $3,000.

These are some of the scholarships available to University of Oregon Students. In order to apply for these scholarships, a student must submit an application for admissions, and complete the U of O Scholarship application.
