Roseburg High School

In order for Chromebooks to function they MUST be connected to the internet. If you do not have internet access, please contact the school for information about an internet hotspot.

1.     Log your Chromebook onto your wifi. It should be the first thing it asks for. If not click on the wifi symbol in the lower right hand corner. The same process is used to switch between networks.

2.     Once logged onto the wifi, it will ask for your school e-mail. This is the same as your Google account.  Your username will be the 2 digit year you will graduate, followed by your last name, followed by the initial of your first and middle name. This will all be followed by @roseburg.k12.or.us

For example,  John William Smith who will graduate in the year 2022 has this e-mail address: 22SmithJW@roseburg.k12.or.us

Another Example: Harry James Potter will graduate in the year 2024 has the following e-mail address: 24PotterHJ@roseburg.k12.or.us

3.     Your password will be your student ID number. This can be found on your schedule. If you cannot find this information please contact the Counseling Center to get that information.

Congratulations! This is the only username and password you will need to access all of your school resources!

Your e-mail address is the same as your username.

1.      Open any web browser. If you are using a Chromebook, this will be Google Chrome. Click this icon at the bottom of your screen: 

2.      In the address bar at the top of the browser type mail.google.com. This will work on any device.

If you are not using a Chromebook logging into any school Google account will allow you to access all of your school resources.

Canvas is the hub where you will access all of your classes.

1.      Log-in to your G-mail account. (see above instructions)

2.      At the top of the G-mail webpage will be what is called the “waffle” (see image on the right) Click the waffle to access the menu. Scroll down using the slider on the right side of the menu until you see the Canvas icon:

The location on the menu will vary.  Click Canvas and you will have access to your classes.  All elements of your classes, including Zoom, will be accessed using Canvas.

After creating your parent account, your student will need to give you a "Pairing Code".

To access the pairing code from the student's Canvas account, go to:
Account --> Settings  --> Click on the "Pair with Observer" button on the right hand side to generate the code.

This code will connect your parent app account to your student's Canvas account.

This is where all of your documents are stored. You can also access Google Docs, Google Sheets and other resources here.

APEX is our new online education system.

The location on the menu will vary.  Click Apex and you will have access to your online classes.
