Dear Parents & Athletes,
Prior to participation in RHS Athletics, all athletes must complete their online SportsWare (SWOL) account, previously known as Orange Card, as well as have a current sports physical on file with the Athletic Trainer.
Due to condensed athletic seasons, we are requiring all Orange Cards to be completed by Nov. 6, 2020. That means all athletes, no matter what season or sport, must have completed their Sportsware account as well as turned in a valid physical to the athletic trainer by this date. With the restricted season schedule we can not guarantee that athletes who complete their information after the due date will be allowed to participate.
Orange Cards for ALL ATHLETES are due:
November 6, 2020
Workouts are tentatively scheduled to begin October 5th.
All athletes who are interested in participating in voluntary workouts MUST have their Orange Cards completed before attending workouts.
***NEW ATHLETES - never participated in a sport at RHS
Please click on the following link and print out the SportsWare Directions. These are step by step instructions on how to step up and complete your account.
New Athlete SportsWare Directions-
If you have previously completed an Orange Card, please log in to your SWOL account to update your information and complete your new form. (Please Do Not create a new SWOL account).
***Please be aware that you will NOT be marked “Clear to Play” on your SportsWare account until the Athletic Trainer has reviewed your account and the Athletic Director has checked grades. This is done AFTER the due date.
- Oregon state law requires that a student-athlete have a physical examination done once every two years. It is recommended that physicals be done during your athletes freshman (9th grade) year and then again during their junior year (11th grade). This makes it easier to remember from one year to the next if you have a new physical exam done or not.
- If you participate in sports at either Fremont or Jo Lane middle schools, your 8th grade (or last physical) will be forwarded to RHS.
- Student-athletes new to the Roseburg school system will need to get a new physical exam or file a copy of their last physical that is not more than one year old. Athletes transferring from out of state must have a physical completed in Oregon using the OSAA form.
To be in compliance with OSAA and the Oregon State Board of Education, all physicals must be completed on the form provided in this packet. No other forms (*) will be accepted. Both sides of the physical form must be completed and signed. *Foreign exchange students are exempted from this requirement.
