RHS ROBOTICS TEAM ARIES IS GOING TO WORLDS!
Because of the snow in Portland on February 23rd, the Robotics State Championships were cancelled and switched to a remote competition. Teams Aries, Leo, and Scorpio did great over Zoom and completed their six best robot runs! Team Aries is one of only THREE teams in Oregon to advance to the Worlds in Houston, Texas April 18th to 22nd! They received the Control Award (Finalist) – This award was given to the team that demonstrates innovative thinking to solve game challenges such as autonomous operation, improving mechanical systems with intelligent control, or using sensors to achieve better results. Team member Elias Malak was one of only 4 students in Oregon to win the Dean’s List Award for academics and student leadership! Teams Leo and Scorpio did not advance to Worlds, but are proud to have made it to the State Championships for the first time! To check out some of this amazing action, check out the robotics website at: https://rhsrobotics.net/. Way to go, Teams!!
